SOLD - 1975 Buescher 400 Baritone, Maine Saxes Overhaul
Here is a freshly overhauled Elkhart-made Buescher 400 from around 1975. This is a killer bari and plays like new for about half the price of something like a new Yamaha. The tone is huge and free-blowing and the tuning is fantastic. This has all the original snap-on resonators and stainless springs. The original finish is in excellent condition as you can see. This is a really great player and a lot of fun. I think this is a great choice for someone looking for their first bari, especially if you can't afford something like a new Yamaha or Yanagisawa which are sold out everywhere anyway. The best part is I gave it a complete overhaul so all pads, corks, and felts are new, the tone holes and pad cups are level, the spring tensions are balanced, and the keywork is nice and tight so you don't need to worry about whether it needs work. The case is in good condition and totally useable. It actually fits the horn quite well and it almost looks like someone may have custom-fit the case for this horn.
SOLD - Keilwerth SX90 Low A, One Owner, Excellent Condition!
This gorgeous German bari has been pro-owned since purchased new about 15-18 years ago and is in excellent condition as you can see. It's playing great and includes the original slim contoured hardshell case. This has the straight tone holes, not rolled, which is a big plus in my book as a repairman. This is easily one of the best-playing modern baritones.
